SPEC：14.6MP、 CMOS、APS-C、720p HD、ISO 100-3200

雖然之前Pentax新一代的旗艦機種，一直都是傳言不斷，但時至今日似乎有了一個比較接近的答案出現。這部Pentax K7為具備防寒耐候的機種，採用Samsung 14.6MP的CMOS感光元件(23.4 x 15.6mm)，為APS-C(1.5X)的數位單鏡數碼相機。

本身具備了新的DRII系統超音波除塵，以及ISO 100-3200 (延伸至6400)的高感度功能，而且運用最新的影像處理引擎；觀景窗的涵蓋率達100% 放大率為0.92X。使用最新SAFOX VIII自動對焦系統，快門速度為1/8000s，可連拍5.2fps達40張(若使用3.3fps的話可至卡滿)，本身也具備LiveView功能和臉部辨識的功能，機身內建防手震設計。

背後搭載了3吋92萬畫素的LCD螢幕，可橫縱向瀏覽觀看；在機頂的功能轉盤上，還有個獨立的攝影選項(與Canon 500D同)，可錄製最大為1280 x 720@30fps的16：9高畫質單聲道動態影片。

機身尺寸為130.5 x 96.5 x 72.5mm，重量為670g，不含電池和SD記憶卡；電池採用的是新款可充電的D-LI90(7.4V/1900mAh)，約可拍攝980張左右。上市同時附個18-55mm/F3.5-5.6的Kit鏡，同時可選購D-BG4的垂直把手，售價約HK$15,000左右，上市日期待定。
